FPD-Link III serialiser for automotive camera and ADAS applications

The automotive-rated DS90UB935-Q1 serialiser from Texas Instruments is part of the company’s FPD-Link III family, created to support high-speed, space-constrained raw data sensors in cameras, satellite radar, LIDAR, and ToF applications. The serializer provides a high-speed forward channel and an ultra-low-latency bidirectional control channel, plus support for power over a single coax or STP cable. The serialiser is compliant with the MIPI CSI-2 interface for video data, providing a bandwidth of over 2.5Gbits per second. The device supports autonomous driving and ADAS through advanced diagnostic and data-protection features, including sensor data integrity check, CRC data protection, voltage and temperature measurement, I2C write protection, programmable alarm, and line fault detection. The serialiser features a broad operating temperature range of -40C to 105C and is offered in a compact 5mm x 5mm VQFN package. The devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications and include HBM ESD Classification Level 3A and CDM ESD Classification Level C6.
