The connector is available now from RS Components. The connectors provides a quick-turn coupling mechanism and robust construction. The device is claimed to be the smallest rugged optical connector available on the market. The connector is targeted at outdoor broadcast, server room engineering, FTTX, civil engineering, marine, aviation and rail applications. The connector's small size is especially useful where installation space is limited or multiple connectors must be accommodated. Providing a secure quick twist bayonet connection, the connector offers durable mechanical mating.
