Stewart Connector has released the Qwik Cat6/Cat5E RJ45 Modular Plug, to complement their extensive RJ45 Modular Plug range.
The company's plugs are created to be terminated to industry standard Cat5E and Cat6 cables, while decreasing assembly time and increasing termination quality in the field. Unlike the standard RJ45, these plugs enable cable conductors to be inserted into the connector prior to being trimmed to length. The company’s 2940263-02 termination tool trims the cable conductors to correct length while terminating the plug contacts.
Applications for this connector cover telecommunication, data, and industrial equipment connection. The RJ45 terminations can be performed on location in the field or in the factory environment. The plug allows the installer an efficient method to build custom length patch cords on demand.
