Isolated DC-DC converter in an ultra-compact package

The Tracopower TEL 10WI series is a range of isolated 10W converters which come in an ultra-compact DIP-16 metal package and available now from RS Components. These converters turn a source of direct current from one voltage to another and comprise an electrical barrier between the input and output to enhance safety. They are ideal for a range of applications, including industrial equipment, telecommunication equipment and consumer electronics. The design purpose of these series was to miniaturised, low power DC-DC converters to the maximum without sacrificing high efficiency. The series sets the new standard for power density with 3.83W/cm3. The TEL 10WI series offers an ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage range and highlight a high efficiency of up to 86% which enables an operation temperature of up to +70C at full load and up to 88C with 50% load.
