Texas Instruments TMUX1108 Low-Leakage Precision MUX provides a single channel, 8:1 configuration. A broad operating supply of 1.08V to 5.5V enables use in an extensive array of applications from medical devices to industrial operations. The device supports bidirectional analog and digital signals on the source and drain pins ranging from GND to VDD. All logic inputs have 1.8V logic compatible thresholds, assuring both TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when working in the valid supply voltage range. Fail-Safe Logic circuitry provides voltages on the control pins to be applied before the supply pin, guarding the device against potential damage.
The device is part of the precision switches and multiplexers family of devices. These devices provide very low on and off leakage currents and low charge injection, enabling them to be used in high precision measurement applications.
The low supply current of 8nA and small package options allow use in portable applications including ultrasound scanners, patient monitoring and diagnostics, optical networking, optical test equipment, remote radio unit, ATE test equipment, factory automation and industrial process controls, PLC, analog input modules, digital multimeters, and battery monitoring systems.
