Analog Devices AD7380/AD7381 16-Bit/14-Bit SAR ADCs operate from a 3V to 3.6V power supply and offer throughput rates of up to 4MSPS. The devices feature a differential analog input type, that accepts a broad common-mode input voltage. It is sampled and converted on the falling edge of CS. Integrated on-chip oversampling blocks better dynamic range and lessen noise at lower bandwidths. A buffered internal 2.5V reference is included. Alternatively, an external reference up to 3.3V can be employed. The conversion process and data acquisition use standard control inputs providing easy interfacing to microprocessors or DSPs. The device is compatible with 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V interfaces, using the separate logic supply.
The devices are ideal for motor control position feedback, motor control current sense, sonar, power quality, data acquisition systems, EDFA applications, and I and Q demodulation applications.
