DVI receiver/deserializers aimed at desktop LCD monitors and digital projectors

Texas Instruments TFP401/TFP401A DVI Receiver/Deserializers are TI PanelBus flat-panel display products, part of a complete family of end-to-end DVI 1.0 compliant solutions. Targeted essentially at desktop LCD monitors and digital projectors, the devices find applications in any design needing a high-speed digital interface. The devices supports display resolutions up to 1080p and WUXGA in 24-bit true-colour pixel format. The deserializers provide design flexibility to drive one or two pixels per clock, supporting TFT or DSTN panels, and gives an option for time-staggered pixel outputs for a decreased ground bounce. PowerPAD advanced packaging technology produces best-of-class power dissipation, footprint, and ultra-low ground inductance. The deserializers combines PanelBus circuit innovation with the company’s advanced 0.18µm EPIC-5 CMOS process technology and PowerPAD package technology. This combined technology delivers a reliable, low-noise, low-powered, high-speed digital interface solution.
