Low-power op-amp provides high slew rate for battery-powered devices

13-02-2019 | Texas Instruments | Power

Mouser now stocks TLV9052 operational amplifier from Texas Instruments. Highlighting a high slew rate and low quiescent current, the dual op-amp is perfect for battery-powered motor-drive applications, as well as large appliances, sensor signal conditioners, photodiode amplifiers, and low-side current sensing. The device is a low-power, low-voltage op-amp optimised for operation from 1.8V to 5.5V with a sturdy output drive ability. The device highlights a bandwidth of 5MHz bandwidth and very high slew rate of 15V/µs with only 330µA of supply current per channel, offering outstanding AC performance at very low-power consumption. Rail-to-rail input and output swing significantly increase dynamic range, especially in low-supply applications. The device provides a capacitive-load drive of 200 pF, and its resistive open-loop output impedance makes stabilisation easier with far higher capacitive loads. The unity-gain-stable device includes a RFI and EMI filter and exhibits no phase reversal in overdrive conditions.
