Highly stable and accurate accelerometers for safety critical and high-performance applications

TTI Europe now stocks Murata’s accelerometers featuring 3D MEMS technology. The large accelerometer product range comprises high performance digital and analog accelerometers for both safety critical automotive and high-performance industrial applications. The products are based on the company's proprietary 3D MEMS technology and they provide a range of excellent product features and benefits for the most demanding applications, including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assistance (HSA), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), 2-axis acceleration measurements, 360-degree vertical orientation measurement, to name a few. The sensing component and the measuring ASIC are environmentally protected with silicone gel providing superior performance and dependability at temperature cycling. Also, the robust sensing element design with over damped frequency response allows outstanding performance even in harsh and vibrating environments. The measuring direction is parallel or perpendicular to the mounting plane. The ASIC incorporates an on-chip EEPROM memory with the calibration coefficients for unit interchangeability. The accelerometers comprise enhanced failure detection: digitally activated self-test, calibration memory parity or check sum check and continuous connection failure detection. The products are designed for horizontal or vertical measurements. The zero point temperature dependence is less than 1mg/C.
