Exclusive range of popular pre-wired connectors

RS Components now offers a new range of pre-wired, single-end-terminated cable assemblies based on HARTING’s Han series of connector components. The assemblies use a variety of commonly used cable and connector combinations to give a quick and easy way of meeting many basic cabling demands. They are available exclusively from RS Components. By removing the necessity for customers to construct their own connectors from basic components, the new pre-wired cable assemblies decrease not only the complexity of the ordering process but also lead times and labour, providing a faster connection to end user equipment. They also enable customers to decrease the level of cable inventory held on site. The new pre-wired connector range consists of six-way (plus earth) and 10-way (plus earth) single-ended assemblies with either 1.5mm² or 2.5mm² wire gauge, offered with 1m, 3m or 5m lengths of cable ready for direct wiring into end-user equipment. The company's Han 6B and 10B series hoods, 6E and 10E inserts, silver plated crimp contacts, and cable glands are included in the assemblies. The control cable is completed in RAL7001 silver-grey polyurethane and satisfies DIN EN 50525-1 (VDE 0285-525-1) standards, with clearly identifiable number coded cores easily indicating core-contact termination within the connector housing. The cable is extremely resistant to abrasion and tearing and provides superior bend radius characteristics. Both the six-way and 10-way versions are rated to 500V according to IEC61984, with a current rating of 16A.
