Stewart Connector, a Bel group company, has released the USB 2.0 Type-B connectors, intended to satisfy the ever-growing need for small, robust and reliable I/O connectors that comply to Universal Serial Bus Standards. The company's USB Type-B connectors are designed in a vertical and horizontal configuration and can support data speeds up to 480Mbps for USB 2.0 applications. Their USB Type B connectors have a frog leg shield pin design to improve reliability during the soldering process and later in the products life cycle. All the company's USB connectors are plated with 30 micro-inches of gold on each contact so that USB 2.0 connectors can endure a peak current of 1.5A per contact. Their USB connectors are also moulded in LCP plastic which provides for extended operating temperatures from -55C to 85C. The connectors are intended to satisfy the industries increasing need for economic solutions where space and faster data rates are a premium. These small form factor, very robust and highly reliable USB connectors are ideal for use in IoT devices, printers and compact power devices.
