Bridge evaluation board features either HSMC or FMC connectors for interfacing the FIFO bus

The FTDI Chip UMFT602A/X evaluation/development modules, available now from RS Components, feature either HSMC or FMC (LPC) connectors for interfacing the company's FT602 32bit FIFO bus to USB 3.1 GEN 1 USB video class (UVC) bridge IC with external hardware. The modules provide for bridging a FIFO bus to a USB3.0 host and evaluating the functionality of the FT602. As daughter cards, the device must work with FIFO master boards which have either an HSMC or FMC connector.

The board supports USB 3.1 GEN 1 Super Speed (5Gbps)/USB 2.0 High Speed (480Mbps) transfer, offering up to four video input channels. The FMC connector is compatible with most Xilinx FPGA reference design boards. The device provides multi-powered options including external DC powered, BUS powered, and FMC/HSMC powered.
