Telonic Instruments has released the new Kikusui PWR-01 series of wide-range benchtop programmable DC power supplies. The series comprises of 12 versatile instruments with models giving 400W, 800W, and 1200W rated power output and maximum rated voltages up to 650V.
The series is provided with a four-times voltage and current variable ratio, making this one of the most accomplished ranges of DC power supplies on the market. The series offers flexible current and voltage for a diversity of applications.
A unique feature is variable internal impedance which provides for different types of simulations fit for automotive test and other battery-driven applications as well as solar-panel evaluation.
The series can be used as an alternative power source to batteries, for agility testing of ECUs, on-board electronic components or for driving power sources for sensors.
Using Wavy sequence creation software, engineers can produce simple simulations such as sensor or actuator operations, and rise/fall of power supplies in multiple channels. This makes the device an excellent choice for automotive developers creating ADAS, including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping systems, traffic sign recognition and car navigation.
The devices offer a choice of interfaces including LAN (LXI), USB, and RS-232 interfaces as standard. The power supplies can be run in almost any testing environment via standard commands for SCPIs, to facilitate system integration in an extensive range of conditions.
