Digital multimeter provides clear and easy reading of measurements

The Metrix MTX204 Digital Multimeter, 10A AC 750V AC 10A DC 1000V DC, offers a compact casing which fits in one hand and can be stowed in a toolbox. The device, available from RS Components, is ideal for all applications in the field. Together with the magnetised sheath, the multimeter can be used hands-free, even in electrical cabinets. The company's patented Multifix mounting system is excellent for use with these multimeters, enabling the user to hook it onto a cabinet door or suspend it. The two-position stand assures easy reading wherever the multimeter is positioned. Readings are made extremely clear by the blue backlighting of the display to 6,000 counts. The built-in torch enables the multimeter to be used in the dark.

The rotary switch provides one function per position. On the front panel, three keys are all that is required to access all the various functions. The 600V CAT III, IP54 double-well input terminals are readily accessible.

Electrical maintenance operations are optimised due to the VLowZ low-impedance voltage measurement option. It is also very simple to initially troubleshoot on PCBs by measuring the resistance, capacitance and diode, etc.
