The Bulgin 4000 Series Fibre Simplex connector is claimed to be the smallest rugged optical connector on the market. The connector is available now from RS Components. The connector is excellent for outdoor broadcast, FTTX (fibre to the x), civil engineering, server room engineering, aviation, marine, and rail applications. The small form factor of the connector is especially useful where installation space is restricted or multiple connectors need to be accommodated.

The connector features a secure quick twist (30-degree) bayonet connection and offers durable mechanical mating. Its industry standard LC interfaces (IEC 61754-20) features colour coded O-rings, and washers enable easy identification.
