Molex has launched eight and 20-circuit mid-power versions to their MultiCat Power Connector System with Precision-Machined Contacts. This system offers excellent durability and can be mated swiftly and secures proper connection via connector position assurance, making it practical in many industry categories. With this connector system, customers will be able to employ a reliable connector in a smaller space while reducing costs.
This new connector system provides a lightweight and compact wire-to-wire or wire-to-board configuration; a UL1977 finger-test-certified receptacle; an operating temperature from -40C to +150C; a two-piece hermaphroditic back shell; a visual connector position assurance feature enabling the user to see the connector is correctly engaged and two keying options. The mid-power version also provides low contact resistance and solid mass contact.
