Texas Instruments TUSB217-Q1 USB 2.0 High-Speed Signal Conditioner is intended to compensate both AC loss (due to capacitive load) and DC loss (due to resistive loss) in the transmission channel. The device has a patented design that expedites transition edges of the USB 2.0 high-speed signal with an edge booster. This booster also improves static levels with a DC boost function. The device incorporates a pre-equalization function to increase the receiver sensitivity and compensate the ISI jitter in applications with longer cable lengths. USB low speed and full speed signal characteristics are unaffected by the device.

The device improves signal quality with no alterations of packet timing or adding propagation delay, making it excellent for applications that need low latency. This conditioner assists a system to pass the USB 2.0 high-speed electrical near end eye compliance tests with a cable as long as 5m. The device is compatible with the USB OTG and BC 1.2 protocols.
