Highly-integrated boost-mode battery charger enables instant power on

Texas Instruments bq25886 Boost-Mode Battery Charger is a highly-integrated battery charge management and system PowerPath management IC. This device facilitates instant power on and gives an accurate termination control device for 2-cell (2s) Li-Ion and Li-polymer battery. The device is a standalone solution with PowerPath and OTG.

The device provides high-efficiency 2A, 1.5MHz switch-mode boost charger. The ICO maximises input power without overloading adapters. The device includes all MOSFETs, current sensing and loop compensation.

Typical applications include wireless speakers, smart speakers, EPOS printers, portable POS, and IP network cameras.
