ROHM has developed an ultra-compact 1.6mm x 1.6mm size MOSFETs that produce superior mounting reliability. The RV4xxx series is AEC-Q101 qualified, ensuring automotive-grade reliability and performance under extreme conditions. The company's original package processing technology facilitates the miniaturisation of automotive components, such as ADAS camera modules, that demand high quality.
In recent years, the increasing number of vehicle safety and convenience systems such as ADAS cameras has highlighted the difficulty of limited space to suit these systems and spurring the demand for smaller components. To meet this need, bottom electrode type MOSFETs that can be miniaturised while maintaining high current are increasingly drawing attention.
The company has claimed to be the first in the industry to ensure the minimum solder height (130μm) needed for vehicle applications by using original Wettable Flank formation technology. The outcome is a consistent solder quality – even for compact products – allowing automatic inspection machines to quickly verify solder conditions after mounting.
