Harwin EZ-BoardWare SMT mounting shield clips provide a fast solution for assembling an RFI shield can to a PCB. The clips are available now from RS Components. These clips provide for space-saving on the PCB and bypass the requirement for the RFI shield can to be soldered straight onto the PCB, therefore, decreasing PCB assembly costs. The RFI shield can is able to be efficiently removed for maintenance or repair. These clips are ideal for an extensive range of shield can thicknesses with several plating options.

The company's Mini RFI shield clip for use with a shield thickness of 0.13-0.23mm is made from beryllium copper with a tin plating and also from stainless steel with a tin plating. The Midi RFI shield clip for use with a shield thickness of 0.17-0.3mm and is made from cupro-nickel with a tin plating and also from beryllium copper with a tin plating. The Maxi RFI shield clip for use with a shield thickness of 0.7-1mm and is made from beryllium copper with a tin plating.
