High isolation DC-DC converters for industrial and transportation applications

Traco Power has released its TRI Series of high voltage DC-DC converters featuring five power ranges. The 3.5, 6 and 10W models feature 7,071VDC I/O isolation, 9,000VDC peak isolation up to one second in the compact DIP-24 package. The 15 and 20W models provide 5,940VDC I/O isolation, 8,000VDC peak isolation up to one second in a compact 2" x 1" footprint. All models feature a 1,000VAC working voltage and common-mode transient immunity (dv/dt) of 15kV/µs.

Each series power level consists of 15 standard models with 9-18, 18-36, 36-75VDC Input options and output voltages of 5, 12, 15, ±12, ±15 (the 3.5W models have five more models with a 4.5-9VDC input range). Features comprise low no-load power consumption; high-efficiency operation; and protection from overload, overvoltage, and short circuit conditions. An internal filter allows EN 55032 class A emissions with no external components. All models are safety qualified to UEC/EN/UL 62368-1 with CB Report and are supported by the company's three-year warranty.
