Multi-band wireless MCU offers outstanding battery lifetime

Texas Instruments CC1352P SimpleLink Multi-Band Wireless MCU is a multiprotocol Sub-1 and 2.4GHz wireless MCU. This MCU is aimed at Wireless M-Bus, IEEE 802.15.4g, IPv6-enabled smart objects (6LoWPAN), Thread, Zigbee, Wi-SUN, KNX RF, Bluetooth 5 Low Energy, and proprietary systems, as well as the TI 15.4-Stack. The device contains a +20dBm integrated high-power amplifier with best-in-class efficiency for long-range applications. The device is a member of the SimpleLink MCU platform of cost-effective, ultra-low power, 2.4GHz and Sub-1GHz RF devices. Very low active RF and MCU current, as well as sub-µA sleep current with up to 80KB of parity protected RAM retention, offer outstanding battery lifetime and enable operation on small coin-cell batteries and in energy-harvesting applications.

The device consolidates a flexible, very low-power RF transceiver with a powerful 48MHz Arm Cortex-M4F CPU in a platform supporting multiple physical layers and RF standards. A dedicated Radio Controller (Arm Cortex-M0) manages low-level RF protocol commands stored in ROM or RAM, therefore assuring ultra-low power and excellent flexibility. The low power consumption of the device doesn't compromise sensitivity and robustness (selectivity and blocking) performance. The flexible radio in the device allows concurrent time-multiplexed multi-protocol and multi-band operation through the DMM driver. The device is a highly integrated, true single-chip solution combining a complete RF system and an on-chip DC-DC converter.
