Analog Devices DC2966A Demonstration Circuit displays the LTC3376 four-channel configurable buck regulator operating in configuration CFG [3:0] = 0000. This sets the LTC3376 to work as a quad buck with all four possible outputs, each capable of 3A. By default, outputs 1-4 are set at 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, and 1.8V, respectively.
Outputs can be enabled, disabled, and sequenced individually. By default, all channel inputs are separate. However, the board can be configured to power all or some channels from a common input. Each channel has a PGOOD LED indicator to confirm that its output is regulating inside the wanted range. Switching operation can enable burst mode for high-efficiency operation at low load currents but can also be forced to continuous PWM mode for more deterministic EMI.
The PCB is laid out on six layers, and the demonstration circuit offers access to all features of the device.
