Ethernet PHY ideally suited for harsh environments

Texas Instruments DP83848-EP PHYTER 10/100Mb/s Ethernet PHY is an extremely reliable, feature-rich robust device. This device incorporates enhanced ESD protection, MII, and RMII for maximum flexibility in MPU selection all in a 48-pin PQFP package.

The device was created to enable Ethernet connectivity in the harshest environments. This device meets IEEE 802.3u standards over a defence temperature range of –55C to 125C.

The device is particularly suited for harsh environments, for example, avionics, defence, and industrial control applications. The device features integrated sublayers to support both 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Ethernet protocols. This option ensures compatibility and interoperability with all other standards-based Ethernet solutions.
