Magnetic mating connectors prevents snagging and damage

The Amphenol Socapex Stingray is a low profile, compact, and sealed connector that sits flat against the body to stop snagging and damage. The connector is available now from TTI Europe. The product is self-aligning due to its strong magnetic connection and enables customisation and flexibility of cable routing. The magnet ‘pulls’ the connectors together enabling them to be ‘blind mated’. Since the connector is not latched any cable snagging ‘unmates’ the connectors rather than damage the equipment or cable. There is no requirement for angular alignment of these connectors making them simpler to use. The cable exit angle is extremely variable and can be set and modified by the user.
