Embedded switch mode power supply is medically approved

The XP Power FCS40 series is created to reduce the no-load power consumption and maximise efficiency to aid equipment design. The series is available now from RS Components.

This range of single output AC/DC power supplies is packaged in a low profile 1.04" height with a footprint of just 2" x 3". The series offers up to 40W convection-cooled over the full 90-264VAC input range and operates down to 80VAC with minimal de-rating. The power supply features two AC line fuses and low leakage currents. The low profile and low noise allow the versatile FCS40 series to be used in a wide range of applications.

Switching power supply units in the series with higher efficiency and lower levels of heat dissipation are generally compact, making them perfect for projects with limited space.

Typical applications for the series include medical environments, PC/Laptops, Mobile phone chargers, Security systems such as CCTV Cameras, and Machine tool industries.
