The STMicroelectronics MDmesh M6 high-voltage super-junction MOSFETs provide increased PFC and LLC efficiency, particularly at light load conditions for improved power density. These devices are now available at Rutronik UK.
Blending low gate charge (Qg), an optimised capacitance profile, enhanced performance at light load and high switching frequencies, the MOSFETs are today’s reference for resonant topologies. As well as excellent switching behaviour for hard switching, the MOSFETs provide enhanced soft switching behaviour due to optimised threshold voltage. These devices open up new possibilities for creators of power converters with high efficiency and power density.
The company's M6 super-junction technology helps decrease on-state resistance (RDS(ON)) to as little as 0.036Ohm, releasing extra efficiency gains and improving power density in equipment such as battery chargers, power adapters, LED-lighting drivers, Silver Box modules, telecom and server power supplies, and solar inverters.
With a breakdown voltage extending from 600V to 700V, the MOSFETs are offered in an extensive range of package options including TOLL for efficient thermal management.
