High current DC link capacitors offer long life under extreme operating conditions

New Yorker Electronics now offers the new Electrocube 958A Series of High Current DC Link Metallised Polypropylene Film Capacitors. Constructed with high-grade materials, the 958A capacitor series is intended for engineers who require long life in high current power inverter applications under severe operating conditions.

In applications including EV power conversion, aircraft power systems, battery chargers and other high pulse applications, the device provides high current and reliability in a high-impact polymer case for insulation and durability. The series is a rugged, non-inductively wound metallised polypropylene DC link capacitor that is rated for 100,000 hours at 70C. Moreover, with its high current and low WSR, it is an excellent replacement for an electrolytic capacitor.

The company also specialises in custom design and manufacturing. The new capacitor series has options for customisable insulating sleeves, mountings, non-standard leads, special terminals, circuit connections and other hardware. It is offered in varied styles, ratings and customisation for unusual conditions necessitated by special circuit applications (including higher IR or lower DF). The capacitors are also provided in threaded insert or terminal studs.
