Texas Instruments OPA1656 Burr-Brown Operational Amplifiers are created specifically for audio and industrial applications where maintaining signal fidelity is crucial. The Op-Amps provide a FET-input architecture that achieves a low 2.9nV/√Hz voltage noise density and 6fA/√Hz current noise density. This provides for very low noise performance in a broad assortment of circuits.
The device provides a high bandwidth and high open-loop-gain design, which produces a low distortion of 0.000035% (-129dB) at 20kHz and enhances audio signal fidelity over the full audio bandwidth. The devices have excellent output current drive capability, allowing rail-to-rail output swing to within 250mV of the power supplies with a 2kOhm load, and can deliver 100mA of output current.
The device operates over a particularly wide supply range of ±2.25V to ±18V or (4.5V to 36V) on 3.9mA of supply current. This contains the power supply constraints of many types of audio products. The device has a specified temperature range from –40C to +125C and is supplied in an eight-pin SOIC package.
Typical applications include soundbars, turntables, DJ controllers, mixers, and other DJ equipment, professional audio mixers or control surfaces, high-fidelity D/A converters; guitar effects pedals, guitar amplifier and other music instrument amplifiers; professional microphones and wireless systems, headsets and headphones; and vibration analysis.
