The Phoenix PSR-CT switch is a proximity safety circuit, Unicode sensor with RFID coding, model 4, automatic or manual start, with integrated diagnostics and 24VDC supply, M12 connector. The switch is available from RS Components.

The device's safety circuit comprises a combination of a PSR-CT-...-SEN-1-8 sensor with varying coding types and a coded PSR-CT-C-ACT actuator. It offers maximum tamper protection and very high level of safety. The switch safety circuit is offered with the following types of coding.

Fixcode: To enable the sensor to detect the actuator, the actuator must initially be associated with the sensor via a learning process. This learning process can only be achieved once. The sensor and actuator are then permanently assigned to each other by the coding. Safety circuits with fixcode evaluation produce a high coding level.

Unicode: To enable the sensor to detect the actuator, it must initially be assigned to the sensor through a learning process. The learning process for a new actuator can be replicated any number of times. The sensor only detects the latter learned actuator. Safety circuits with Unicode evaluation deliver a high coding level.

Multicode: The sensor detects every actuator of each approved type. No particular actuator code can be assigned. Safety circuits with multicode evaluation realise a low coding level.
