The ME910G1 improves the Telit xE910 product family with a high-performance LTE-M and NB-IoT combo module. With optimised power consumption and enhanced quality of coverage, it is especially created for low-data throughput IoT applications and facilitates new low-cost IoT device deployments. The module is now available at Rutronik UK.

The module provides a Power Saving Mode and extended Discontinuous Reception for energy-saving operation. This feature enables the device to wake up periodically, providing only the smallest amounts of data required before reverting to sleep mode. Enhanced coverage, facilitated by maximum coupling loss of up to +15dB/+20dB, offers superior in-building penetration compared to previous cellular LTE standards. Compliant with 3GPP Release 14, the device has an increased date rate for LTE-M and NB-IoT and therefore further optimises efficiency. The module is also offered with an embedded GNSS-receiver.

The module is provided with global frequency bands configuration for global deployment and supports 2G fallback. With a common form factor of 28.2mm x 28.2mm x 2.2mm as well as common electrical and programming interfaces, the product family enables developers to implement a 'design once, use anywhere' strategy.

These advantages make the module excellent for allowing quick implementation of LTE technology where low cost and low power are more relevant than high speed. Accordingly, the module is especially fitting for global IoT applications such as smart metering, point of sales, health monitoring, security and surveillance, fleet management, asset tracking and wearable devices.
