Now available at Rutronik UK the compact wireless transceiver module TCM 515 provides reduced power consumption, reduced size and a lower cost in comparison to the previous generation TCM 310. The module is ideal for systems such as transceiver gateways, actuators and controllers that communicate based on the EnOcean radio standard in the sub-GHz band. Due to higher processor performance, all security features, including encryption, decryption and authentication, can be executed directly in the module. This facilitates secure end-to-end communication with no external components.
The module, pre-certified according to international radio standards, receives radio telegrams through either wire antenna, PCB antenna or an external 50Ohm antenna. It can filter, decrypt and authenticate these telegrams before delivering them to an externally-connected host processor or host PC via a serial UART-interface. Due to integrated security processing, no extra components are needed for encryption.
The wireless transceiver module TCM 515/S3003-K515 supports the radio frequency 868MHz for Europe while the TCM 515U/S3053-K515 supports 902MHz for North America.
