Isolated DC-DC converter is an excellent choice for many demanding applications

The new Tracopower TRI 10 is a high isolation, regulated 10W DC-DC converter series which comes in a compact DIP-24 package. The series is available now from RS Components.

The core characteristic of the series is a sophisticated reinforced isolation system which can withstand high test voltages (9000VDC for 1s and 7071VDC for 60s) and working voltages (1000VACrms). Complementing this isolation feature is a high Common Mode Transient Immunity of 15kV/µs. The new design enables it to fully integrate an EN55032 class A filter and considerably reduces the no-load power consumption. High efficiencies up to 88% enable safe operation from –40C to +65C with no derating and up to +85C with derating.

All models have a wide 2:1 input voltage range and precisely regulated, isolated output voltages. With the newest IT safety certifications (IEC/EN/UL 62368-1) the series is an excellent choice for many demanding applications in the transportation, industrial, and instrumentation sectors.
