This Omron EE-SX1330 ultra-compact surface mount type photomicrosensor is an outstanding choice for downsizing. The device is available now from TTI Europe. The outer dimensions are significantly reduced, keeping the same detection distance, compared to terminal types with similar specifications. The size reduction can be as much as 65%. The photomicrosensors has a high-resolution output with a 0.3mm wide aperture and a 3mm sensing distance. The transmissive (photointerrupter) sensing method enables stable sensing of opaque objects and high accuracy in positioning. The phototransistor output configuration is excellent for flexible circuit design, which enables the user to set a proper threshold level for the application.
