Compact limit switch is highly configurable

The Honeywell NGC, available now from TTI Europe, is a highly configurable compact limit switch to meet an abundance of application areas.

The low profile body enables it to be integrated where other sealed limit switches are not able to. The limited space and the harsh exposure levels of the wider railway market space make the switch an excellent option in this environment.

Rail doors, for example, implement a sliding motion and products that are employed to control the doors must be compact and efficient. The switch is small enough to fit in tight spaces, yet is constructed to withstand the harsh environments that rail applications present.

The device is part of the company's Limit Switch portfolio, which comprises EN50041 (GLA Series) and EN50047 (GLC Series) product packages approved for rail applications.

Typical applications include train door open/close detection, metro platform guards, valve handle position, panel access detection, security detection controls, wheelchair lifts/hoists, retracting step tread position, and maintenance vehicle extensions.
