IP67 digital multimeter has 4m drop resistance and enhanced battery life

RS Components has introduced the new Fluke 87V MAX true-RMS digital multimeter designed for employment by maintenance engineers in the most exacting industrial environments. An enhanced version of the Fluke 87V DMM, the 87V MAX is supplied with an IP67 rated casing, doubled battery life, and all the features needed to efficiently troubleshoot virtually any electrical problem in, for example, motor drives, plant automation, power distribution and electromechanical equipment.

The industrial-strength casing of the device is designed and tested to withstand drops up to four metres in its holster. Waterproofing and dustproofing to IP67 standards and an extended operating temperature range from –15C to +55C (down to –40C for up to 20 minutes) and up to 95% humidity make the device more than equal to severe environmental conditions.

The device includes a unique function for accurately measuring noisy signals at the variable frequency drive and the motor terminals: special shielding stops high frequency, high-energy noise produced by large drive systems. It accurately measures pulse-width modulated motor drive signals.

This industrial multimeter is safety rated to CAT III 1000V and CAT IV 600V.
