Contactless temperature measurement sensors provide a cost-effective solution

TE Connectivity has introduced the Digital Thermopile Sensor contactless temperature measurement system, available now from TTI Europe, which meets a comprehensive range of critical design and performance demands covering accuracy, speed, low power/energy efficiency, and limited space conditions. The sensors incorporate an infrared sensor (thermopile) and a sensor signal conditioner and can be interfaced to any microcontroller by an I2C interface.

The sensors offer a cost-effective option to competitor offerings, as well as analog sensors which need extra components to achieve similar functionality and results.
