EMC filter IEC inlet and line filter provides excellent attenuation to conducted EMI

The XP Power FDMM, available now from RS Components, has an inlet with a front-accessible (when the mains connector is disconnected) dual fuse holder, combined with a low earth leakage medical IEC inlet filter in a compact single housing. It is ideal for mains powered medical equipment where dual fusing and low earth leakage current is demanded.

The device provides excellent attenuation to conducted electro-magnetic interference from the mains supply while decreasing any conducted emissions from inside the equipment onto the mains supply. All models are suitable for Class I appliances and feature a shielded metal body. The devices are fitted with a bleed resistor to safely discharge the filter capacitors when power is disconnected.

The devices provide a broad operating temperature range of -40C to +110C with full power operation up to +50C.
