Fibre optic connector for where quick connect and disconnect is demanded

The Bulgin 6000 Series Fibre Optic Connector, available from RS Components, is an efficient way to terminate fibre optic cable anywhere quick connect and disconnect is needed.

Fibre optic cabling is created to transfer information through light over long distances at high speed. It is employed in data transmission for telecommunications, and are generally used in audio transmission, computer networking, sensors and power transmission.

The series offers cabled versions 0S1, 0M1, 0M3 with a range from 5m to 450m and the diameter over coupling ring is 32mm. Cable entry is via flex, Flex In-Line and Rear Panel, providing a secure, proven locking system. The tamperproof lock prevents accidental un-mating. An all-plastic body version is UV stable, halogen-free, lightweight, self-extinguishing material ideal for long-term outdoor use. Sealing caps are available.
