Hand-held motor tester provides suite of insulation resistance tests

The Megger MTR105 is a dedicated Static Motor Tester with the company's suite of insulation resistance tests (IR), as well as all the traditional features of its testers.

The device takes the test capabilities of the company's proven IR test instruments adding DLRO four-wire Kelvin low resistance test, inductance and capacitance tests to offer a versatile motor tester, all combined in a robust handheld instrument, which up to now has not been available.

Furthermore, the device includes temperature measurement and compensation (for IR tests), motor direction of rotation, plus supply phase rotation tests. These new test capabilities make the device a real-world, versatile, handheld motor test instrument.

The device features a full-colour graphic display, three-phase insulation resistance, temperature correction for insulation resistance, and guard terminal.
