Mouser and celebrity engineer, Grant Imahara, has released the final Engineering Big Ideas video, the latest series in the company's Empowering Innovation Together program.
The series’ final instalment carries viewers to Silicon Valley, where Imahara meets with Beth Kendrick, President of Valley Services Electronics. The series is supported by the company's valued suppliers Analog Devices, Intel, Microchip Technology and Molex.
“Manufacturing is often one of the last and most important stops on the electronic design engineer’s journey to product creation,” said Glenn Smith, president and CEO of Mouser Electronics. “In order to push products through to the finish line, it is essential for product engineers to be on the lookout for any red flags when selecting components for their products and then when choosing the right manufacturing partner.”
The new video moves behind the scenes with Kendrick and the VSE team, who offer first-hand advice for new product innovators and highlight what designers should look for in a PCB assembly manufacturer to assure a smooth go-to-market process. The team explains how they cut through the confines of offshore manufacturing norms and what that implies for today’s innovators.
