Cannon’s MKJ Miniature Circular Connectors, available now from TTI Europe, facilitate high-speed data, power and signal transmission in an extensive range of applications and platforms. At less than half the size and weight of standard defence-grade interconnects, the connectors provide a highly engineered design, performance and reliability, but in a far smaller design package. The series also is supplied with rear accessory threads or integral band platform for direct attachment of cable shield and overmould.
The connectors are provided in a variety of coupling options including UN Thread, Double Start, Triple Start, Bayonet and Cannon Breakaway. The connectors offer 71% weight and 52% size reduction with no loss of reliability. The connectors are available with rear-release crimp, PC tail or solder cup contacts and are fully intermateable with other miniature circular connectors on the market. The connectors are field repairable and maintainable, allowing for quick fixes, cleaning and reconnections. Shells and jam nuts are supplied in aluminium alloy or corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
The connector provide up to 2,000 mating cycles, giving excellent durability. The connectors are environmentally sealed using fluorosilicone material for the front interfacial seal and rear wire sealing grommet.
