Binder has announced an M16 X – coded connector capable of managing the data speeds necessitated by current sensor-based automated production plants. Data transmission figures are an impressive 10Gbits/s.
With the advantages of rugged design and superior environmental resistance, M16 connectors have become extensively employed for sensors in both indoor and outdoor use where there is a requirement for a higher pin-count than is provided by M8 and M12 connectors.
The Binder 415 Series incorporates a male/female cable connector as well as a panel mounted female connector which is created to be front fastened. When mated, they are rated to IP67.
The connectors have eight gold-plated contacts rated to 0.5A at 50VAC, 60VDC and can support cables ranging from 5.5 to 9mm diameter.
