Lead crystal rechargeable battery improves life expectancy tenfold

The lead crystal technology combines the best lead-acid technologies with liquid and gel electrolytes. The ENIX Energies, 6-CNFJ-200, 12V, 200Ah Lead Crystal Rechargeable Battery, employs a new type of electrolyte: SiO2 non-corrosive acid. These batteries are available now from RS Components. It crystallises over time and noticeably increases the products performance and technical specifications. It improves the battery's life expectancy tenfold and is maintenance-free. Lead crystal batteries charge twice as fast as conventional sealed lead-acid batteries.

These batteries are 99% recyclable and are classified as non-hazardous for freight transport. Therefore, lead crystal batteries can be employed in applications including UPS, industrial systems, alarm systems and emergency lighting.

This battery can operate in temperatures ranging from -40C to 65C. Its normal service life is 18 to 20 years at 25C, while the very low self-discharge rate indicates that it can be stored for two years with no top-up charge. The amount of charge cycles varies from 600 to 5000 dependent on the depth of discharge. The battery is composed of 99% pure lead.
