Expanded fan-cooled PSU portfolio for industrial applications

Bel Power Solutions has expanded its high-power portfolio with the TXP4000 Series, a maximum 4000W AC/DC power supply ideal for industrial, process and control, railway and machinery applications.

The converters employ a PFC front-end stage and an isolated DC-DC stage to convert the three-phase input voltage to a low DC output voltage in a wide array of industrial applications where high efficiency is a necessity, with emphasis on both reliability and long product life. The series also includes DSP technologies which allow monitoring of electrical parameters (including input voltage of all three-phases) and enable control of the PSU from a system controller. RS485/CAN bus communication is offered to command, monitor and give diagnostic information that can be utilised to interface with a system controller.

The series power supplies provide a compact footprint (135mm x 85mm x 465mm / 5.31" x 3.35" x 18.31") and accommodate the worldwide three-phase input voltage range of 350-528Vrms at up to 63Hz, with active current share system available. Units can be used in parallel (eight units) or serial configurations (four units), generating a maximum output power of 32kW. The output voltage is adjustable, ranging from 30V to 137.5V optimised to 110V, fully protected against overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature and short circuit circumstances. 12V auxiliary output is also offered. A highly efficient thermal design including an internal fan cooling system allows their application over an extensive operating temperature range of -25C to +55C.
