RS Components is offering a 30% discount on its new DesignSpark PCB Pro software, an upgraded version of its DesignSpark PCB design suite with added productivity features. The software is targeted at professional electronic design engineers — particularly those working in SMEs.
A perpetual licence costs 449EUR/375GBP excluding VAT — making it attractively priced against similarly featured ECAD software. Using code ab122a5fb5 users will gain an additional 30% discount until 9 March 2020.
As a result of customer feedback, the company released the software, with its enhanced feature set, to cover the gap between complex, costly, high-maintenance PCB CAD software and low-end, unsupported open source products. The software adds many important productivity features created to expedite the design process dramatically, comprising blind and buried vias, hierarchical blocks, extensive copper pour rules, net class level spacing rules, and manufacturability checks. An upgraded autorouter optimises the board layout efficiency, while enhanced library support enables the latest symbols, footprints and 3D models to be imported.
