Highly integrated POL solutions reduce costs

The new microBRICK DC-DC Regulators POL solutions from Vishay Intertechnology deliver high efficiency while reducing costs. These regulators are available now from TTI Europe.

The devices offer a simple solution to building efficient high-density DC-DC converters with a wide input voltage range. One of the most significant challenges in system design is powering the next generation of microprocessors, DSPs, FGPAs, and ASICs. This device offers several advantages, both thermal and electrical. Measuring only 10.6mm x 6.5mm with an industry-low 3mm profile, this modular solution offers a <30% smaller area and >50% smaller volume when compared to the closest competing module.

Typical applications include 5V and 12V input rail POLs; desktop, notebooks, server, and industrial computing; industrial and automation; and consumer electronics.
