XP Power has released two new series of wide range input DC-DC converters. The products' flexible specification enables devices with incompatible voltages to be readily integrated into industrial systems.
The DTJ15 and DTJ20 series are created for ease of installation and operation. They can be fitted to a chassis or DIN rail and attached via screw terminals and need no additional components for protection or EMC compliance.
The series provides 15W or 20W of power and are ideal for a wide range of applications comprising process monitoring and control, elevators and moving walkways, industrial robotics, gaming systems, safety monitoring, door control, communications and telemetry to name a few.
An important feature of the new DC-DC converters is the wide (4:1) input range covering 9VDC to 36VDC and 18VDC to 75VDC, excellent for a mixture of input sources including various nominal battery voltages and vehicle supplies, negating the requirement for multiple DC-DC solutions.
Compliance with EN55032 Class A without the requirement for any external components indicates that no further work is needed through installation to attain EMC compliance.
The converters can function at temperatures as high as 100C, enabling usage in harsh environments as well as within sealed environments (such as IP67 enclosures) where there is no forced airflow. The capability to function at altitudes up to 5000m ensures that the devices can be deployed worldwide.
