Analog-to-digital converter offered in a small package size

Texas Instruments TLA2518 ADC is an simple-to-use, 8-channel, multiplexed, 12-bit, 1MSPS, SAR ADC. The eight channels can be separately configured as either analog inputs, digital inputs, or digital outputs. The device provides an internal oscillator for the ADC conversion process. The device communicates through an SPI compatible interface and supports averaging multiple data samples with a single start of conversion. The built-in programmable averaging filters help decrease noise from the analog inputs and lessen the number of data samples needed to be read by the host.

The device provides a small package size of only 3mm x 3mm, GPIOs for I/O expansion and wide temperature range bewteen –40C to +85C.

Typical applications include macro remote radio units (RRU), battery management systems (BMS), string inverters, and central inverters.
