EVM evaluates high-speed bidirectional passive switching performance

Texas Instruments TMUXHS4212EVM Mux/Demux Evaluation Module can be employed to evaluate the TMUXHS4212. The device is a two-channel high-speed mux/demux switch that is compatible with any high-speed interface with a differential amplitude <1800mVpp and a common-mode voltage <2V. The evaluation module evaluates high-speed bidirectional passive switching performance for USB Type-C mux or demux applications supporting USB 3.1 Gen 1, Gen 2 data rates. The device is also compatible with MIPI DSI/CSI, LVDS, and PCI Express Gen 2, Gen 3, and Gen 4 interface standards.

The module features a simple interface for high-speed signals via SMP connectors and universal banana jacks for external 3.3V power supply. Jumpers are available for easy device configuration. Also featured are calibration traces for de-embedding the evaluation module from the module during a measurement.
